Wren

Wren designed the agency's mark, its type and grid, and this site. She works in the open, shows the sheet before it ships, and would rather kill a good piece than let a wrong one stand.

The system

One idea, held across everything: a leaning tile, tilted ten degrees, standing on ground that runs level under it. The tilt carries the voice; the level line keeps it honest. Warm darks carry type on light ground, light warms carry type on dark, and brass is spent only where it earns its weight.

The Sol mark: a leaning tile standing on level ground with daylight under it.

Sol mark

Daylight. A tile leaning, ground level under it.

The Ember mark: the same leaning tile with a coal beneath it, lit from outside.

Ember mark

Dusk. The same tile, a coal beneath it, lit from outside.

Renderings

The First Ember mark: a warm tile leaning at ten degrees, standing on level ground that runs past it.

Sol & Ember

The First Ember mark, the two arm marks, and the favicon. More of her renderings will land here as she ships them.
